Beginners Courses

Beginners courses take place on Tuesday evenings at the Montsaye Community College Sports Hall, Greening Rd, Rothwell, Northants during the winter months, 7.45pm till 8.45pm. During the summer beginners course take place on a Tuesday evening at The West Lodge Rural Centre in Desborough, Northants, 6.00pm till 7.00pm
The course lasts for 6 weeks. Any one interested in taking a course should contact Colin on 01536 726036 evenings/weekends or 01536 726677 during the day. Courses run continuously through the year, this way any one who wishes to start in archery can do so at a time that is convenient to them. All equipment needed for the course is provided by the club.

Main topics covered during course Safety , both their own and towards other archers. How to draw the bow, aim, and loose the arrow. Learn about scoring. Learn about the different rounds shot. Competition practice		Download a leaflet.
The cost is £20 per person
On completion of the 6 weeks, a certificate will be awarded along with the opportunity to continue in the sport by joining Targetcraft Archery Club and the GNAS..

Club Membership:	£25.00	£12.50	These fees are due when you first join the club and then Yearly, due 1st August
GNAS Membership:	£39.60	£10.00	These fees are due when you first join the club and then Yearly, due 1st September
Total:	£64.60	£22.50
(if you join after May, your fees to GNAS will not be due again till the September of the following year)

*SHOOTING FEES ON CLUB NIGHTS:*
Club members:	Adults £3.00, Under 18 yrs £1.50, Over 65 £1.50
Guests: (GNAS or Fita members)	Adults £3.50, Under 18 yrs £2.00, Over 65 £2.00
During the summer members can shoot at The West Lodge Rural Centre all week for a fee of £4.00 for adults and £2.00 for juniors and the over 65. All shooting is subject to GNAS rules.
